Why insure your parcel?

Is insurance mandatory?

No. Insurance is optional — you buy it at your discretion.

Why insure?

Parcels can occasionally be lost — rarely, but it happens with any carrier (DHL, UPS, DPD, FedEx, GLS, etc.). If an insured parcel is lost or damaged, we pay the shipping cost plus the declared value of the contents. If uninsured, only shipping costs are refunded.

How often are parcels lost?

On average about 1 in 3,000–5,000 shipments. We avoid carriers with high loss rates.

Is there a 100% delivery guarantee?

No — anyone promising that would be misleading. Losses are usually due to warehouse handling errors.

Can a lost parcel be found?

A search is opened when loss is suspected. Carriers typically allow 30–90 days; if not found, the parcel is declared lost.

How much does insurance cost?

About 5–6% of the declared value of the contents. Tick “insure parcel” at checkout — the total updates automatically. You can untick before confirming the order.

How to claim

We ask for documents proving the value of the items (PDF preferred, photos of receipts acceptable). Declared contents must match the documents.

It is also important to receive the parcel correctly at a Russian Post office if you need to claim later. Details: FAQ — receiving
